Job summary

ibis budget London Heathrow Central is seeking a committed Commis Chef to join our busy airport hotel kitchen. You will help the kitchen team deliver quality dishes quickly while upholding brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role covers breakfast, lunch, dinner and events, with responsibilities from mise-en-place to stock rotation, maintaining hygiene and supporting senior chefs. Training in Food Safety Level 2 is desirable, and flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience in a hotel, restaurant or catering environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Food Safety Level 2 certification is desirable, but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to brand and company standards.
• Ensure mise-en-place is prepared and ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and hygiene across all kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety procedures from storage through to preparation and service.
• Support the Chef team during breakfast, lunch, dinner and event service.
• Help with stock rotation, deliveries and storage procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a great guest experience.
• Carry out any additional kitchen duties as requested by senior chefs or management.
