Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in Leicester is seeking an experienced Commis Chef with a path to Chef De Partie for a private school. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a supportive team and scope to learn across stations in a busy kitchen.

You’ll cook fresh produce on site for 900+ day students, boarders and staff, on a rotating 06:00–20:00 shift. Benefits include free parking, free meals, beverages and a contributory pension.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef or Cook in a mid-to-large scale dining environment.
• Good knowledge of all kitchen sections.
• Excellent food hygiene and allergen knowledge.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Training.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy, high-volume kitchen cooking for 900+ people.
• Cook on any station with flexibility to move between sections.
• Prepare all fresh produce on site to a high quality level.
• Involved in events at the private school.
• Operate on a rotational rota from 06:00 to 20:00.

Key Responsibilities
