Boundary Outlet in Colne is seeking a Commis Chef to join our in-store café and restaurant kitchen. You will help prepare high-quality dishes while keeping the kitchen clean, organized and compliant with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and sanitise equipment, surfaces and utensils.
• Wash and organise crockery, cutlery and cookware efficiently.
• Support chefs and other team members during busy periods.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when replenishments are needed.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including food hygiene regulations.

35 hours a week working 5 days out of 7. You must be fully flexible to cover days, late shifts and weekends.

Behind the scenes, our kitchen team works hard to deliver delicious food to our customers, and we’re looking for a dedicated Commis Chef to join the team.

Role Overview:

As a Commis Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team in preparing and serving high-quality food while ensuring a clean and organised work environment. Your role will be key to helping us deliver a fantastic dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring all equipment, work surfaces, and utensils are clean and sanitised.
• Wash and organise crockery, cutlery, and cookware efficiently.
• Support chefs and other team members during busy periods.
• Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and notify supervisors when replenishments are needed.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including food hygiene regulations.
