NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial activities on a growing project portfolio. Based at the head office in Preston, you will work with Project Managers and Contract Managers to manage estimating, tendering, cost control and final accounts.

You'll contribute to tender submissions, ensure accurate pricing, control costs and maximise profitability across healthcare and wider commercial sectors, including

Qualifikationen

• Experience with estimating, tendering, and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Healthcare sector project experience and live environment work.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong Excel and cost-management systems knowledge.

Aufgaben

• Estimate and tender: review docs and prepare cost estimates.
• Commercial management: own project costs, budgets, forecasts, performance.
• Cost control and profitability: monitor spend and protect margins.
• Valuations and variations: prepare interim valuations and negotiate changes.
• Subcontractor management: evaluate quotes and manage accounts to final settlement.
• Procurement: support material and subcontractor procurement.
• Contract administration: review docs and ensure compliance.
• Reporting and forecasting: provide cost-to-complete forecasts and margin projections.
• Final accounts: negotiate final accounts with clients and subs.
• Continuous improvement: strengthen procedures and financial controls.
