Job summary

Westwood Recruitment is hiring a Business Development Manager for a growing commercial waste business in Leeds. This field-based role focuses on winning new contracts, building a robust pipeline, and driving revenue through a consultative sales approach.

You will meet decision-makers, present tailored waste management solutions, negotiate terms, and close agreements while developing lasting relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Proven success in B2B sales and business development.
• Experience in waste management or related sectors advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities across a range of commercial sectors
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through networking, referrals, self-generated leads, and market research
• Attend client meetings to understand requirements and present bespoke waste management solutions
• Prepare and deliver proposals and quotations
• Negotiate and close contracts while maximising profitability
• Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process
• Represent the business at industry events, networking functions, and trade exhibitions
• Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets
