Briggs Equipment Ltd. in Lisburn is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Fleet Controller to join our hire team. This permanent role offers a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri) in Lisburn, with responsibilities covering fleet readiness, inspections, repairs coordination, invoicing, and documentation across the hire process.

You will support the CVM BDM, maintain records, process orders, and handle after-hours needs while delivering strong customer service and accurate asset data.

Responsabilités

• Manage a commercial vehicle hire fleet to ensure readiness for hire.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report defects or service needs.
• Coordinate repairs, servicing and aftersales with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Provide day-to-day administration and support to the CV BDM.
• Process vehicle hires, track allocations, generate invoices and monitor fleet availability.
• Maintain vehicle records and documentation.
• Raise purchase orders and process supplier invoices.
• Prepare documentation for vehicle taxation and MOT requirements.
• Verify hirers hold valid licenses and adequate insurance.
• Respond to customer queries and coordinate resolutions.
• Process insurance claims for customers and the business.
• Support audits with accurate asset records and documentation.
• Facilitate after-hours hire requirements and overtime when needed.

Opportunity: Commercial Vehicle Fleet Controller

Hours: 40 hours (Monday - Friday)

The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across Ireland and the UK.

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and well organised Commercial Vehicle Fleet Controller to join our Commercial Vehicle hire team based in Lisburn to be an integral part of the team providing administrative support and customer service.

In this role you will be:

• Manage a commercial vehicle hire fleet, including panel vans, welfare vans and box vans, ensuring vehicles are ready for hire.
• Conduct vehicle delivery and collection inspections and report defects, warning lights, service requirements and wear and tear for workshop attention.
• Coordinate repairs, servicing and aftersales requirements, liaising with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support the Commercial Vehicle BDM with day-to-day administration and maintain accuracy throughout the hire process.
• Process vehicle hires, track customer allocations, generate invoices and monitor fleet availability.
• Maintain accurate vehicle records, commercial vehicle files and all associated documentation.
• Track vehicle orders, order new vehicles and liaise with suppliers from order placement through to delivery.
• Raise purchase orders and process supplier invoices.
• Prepare and manage documentation for vehicle taxation and MOT requirements.
• Verify hirers hold valid driving licences and adequate insurance cover.
• Respond to customer queries and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams and suppliers.
• Process insurance claims fairly and efficiently for both customers and the business.
• Support audits by providing accurate asset records and vehicle documentation.
• Facilitate customer hire requirements outside normal business hours, including overtime where required.
