Job summary

Briggs Equipment is seeking a Workshop Engineer in Lisburn to service and repair diesel, LPG and electrical material handling equipment. You will fault-find, perform preventative maintenance and inspect forklifts, while upholding safety and high service standards.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and relevant workshop experience. Independent work ethic, ability to prioritise workload, and strong customer-focus are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar workshop role.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Capability to manage and prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Awareness of customer needs and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain diesel, LPG and electrical MHE equipment.
• Fault finding and performing planned maintenance and pre-delivery inspections.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and address queries promptly.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and customer/Briggs Equipment policies.
• Record job activity electronically and order required parts.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships through quality service.

The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.

Due to growth in our Engineering team, we are now looking for aWorkshop Engineerto join our supportive and friendly teaminLisburn.

We are keen to see CV’s from candidates who have experience within one of the following sectors;forklift trucks, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, HGV's, passenger carrying vehicles or similar machinery.

In this role you will be:

• Servicingand maintainingof diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment
• Fault finding, completingplanned preventative maintenance and pre delivery inspection of forklift trucks
• Ensuring customer service is kept to a high level and any queries are addressed
• Adhering to safety guidelines set and all policies set out by customers and Briggs Equipment
• Completing job activity electronically and ensuring all required parts to complete tasks are ordered
• Ensuring customer relationship are maintained and developed through high standards of service

What will help you to excel in this role:
