Job Description:

The Green Recruitment Company has been exclusively engaged by a global leader in technology innovation and solution deployment, seeking a passionate and driven Commercial/Business Development Lead to be at the forefront of the Hydrogen Fuel Cell revolution.

With a demo site already established abroad, the client is now setting up a new team to launch their Energy Management System, which includes market-ready renewable energy & battery systems, along with new fuel cell solutions. As the Commercial/Business Development Manager, you will leverage your entrepreneurial business development experience to establish their UK operations with support from international colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish business partnerships across the hydrogen value chain (H2 Suppliers, Engineering Firms, Maintenance Providers, etc.)
  • Engage in project development with UK government/authorities and B2B potential clients
  • Identify, select, and engage in projects under development by local developers and investors
  • Manage and monitor budgets
  • Develop and implement business plans and strategies to promote hydrogen fuel cell solutions
  • Prepare and deliver techno-commercial promotion materials
  • Lead promotion of the company's project portfolio
  • Collaborate with legal teams on JV and partnership agreements
  • Plan and execute PR activities to align with customers

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in Business Development
  • Negotiation skills at all levels within government and client organizations
  • Collaborative approach, including working with international teams
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and persistence
  • Ability to develop business practices and ensure compliance
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong analytical skills for data assessment and reporting
  • Experience in energy industry sectors like Oil & Gas, EPC, and hydrogen supply chain
  • Experience in startup environments of similar size and nature
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe
  • Experience managing budgets and business plans
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Continuous learning and adaptability
