Job summary

Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Commercial Solar Operations Manager to lead and scale the commercial solar division in the North West, turning sales into delivered projects.

You will oversee feasibility, surveys, costing, mobilisation and delivery, building a repeatable operating model and managing partners, suppliers and RAMS.

This hybrid role offers £60k base with OTE £85k+, plus bonuses, company vehicle options, pension, private healthcare and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering commercial solar PV or battery storage projects from feasibility through to delivery.
• Electrical background with ability to read electrical drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of project costing, procurement, variations, budget control, and margin protection.
• Experience selecting and managing installation partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Build a repeatable operating model from qualified sales to commissioning and handover.
• Create standard product options, project scopes, exclusions, survey requirements, stage gates.
• Lead feasibility reviews and surveys covering roof, structure, electrical infra, DNO, access, planning, and H&S.
• Translate survey and design information into scopes, BOMs, programmes, cost assumptions, RAMS, and installer instructions.
• Build and maintain accurate project cost inputs including labour, scaffolding, civils, logistics, design, contingency and risk.
• Validate proposals can be delivered as sold and stop unsafe or non-compliant work.
• Own mobilisation and delivery after handover, including programme, readiness, customer communication, risk, variation control.
• Identify and manage installation partners, suppliers and contractors.
