The role combines strategic input with hands‑on contract drafting, risk allocation, and specialist NEC4 expertise to secure value and ensure successful procurement. • Significant experience in commercial management for large infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in NEC4 contracts and pre-contract procurement.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Lead in developing the commercial strategy for the procurement phase of a major infrastructure programme.
• Specialise in NEC4, framework agreements, and bespoke contracts to reflect strategy and values.
• Draft and review contract documents, allocate risk and reward, and enable post-contract performance.
• Oversee supplier/contractor selection, produce robust tender documents, and lead negotiations.
• Provide commercial modelling, evaluation, and dispute avoidance expertise.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to support improvements.
