Anglian Water Services is recruiting a Commercial Manager (Pre-Contract) to help shape the procurement strategy for the Reservoirs Programme. You will lead commercial activities and contract design to support a large-scale infrastructure project.

The role requires significant experience in commercial management, NEC4 expertise, and strong negotiation skills. The position offers hybrid working in Peterborough/London, with a competitive package and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Lead in developing the commercial and contractual strategy for the procurement phase of a major infrastructure programme.
• Specialise in NEC4 contracts, framework agreements, and bespoke arrangements to reflect strategy and values.
• Draft and review contract documentation, allocate risk/reward, and enable post-contract performance management.
• Oversee supplier and contractor selection, produce robust tender documents, and lead commercial negotiations.
• Provide commercial modelling, evaluation, and dispute avoidance expertise.
• Build strong internal and external relationships and support continuous improvement.
• Design commercial models including payment mechanisms and KPI tracking for major programmes.
