Job summary

Galliford Try's Infrastructure division is recruiting a Commercial Manager for a highways project based in Bedford, with responsibility across the region. You will lead daily commercial administration and act as the project's commercial lead.

Responsibilities include managing the main contract and subcontract documents, valuations, payments, changes, notices, and quotations. You will forecast expenditure, develop cost plans, and guide bids and estimating work.

Qualifications

• Experience negotiating and settling final accounts.
• Ability to lead a commercial team and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of standard contract forms and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the main contract and negotiate subcontract documents, prices and programmes.
• Oversee subcontract administration including valuations, payments and changes.
• Produce monthly applications, cost-value reconciliations and cost plans.
• Forecast expenditure and liabilities and provide contractual advice for bids.
• Lead and develop the commercial team and monitor notices and compensation events.
• Support bids and estimating work with robust commercial input.
