Job summary

Galliford Try's Infrastructure team is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major highways scheme in Bedford. The role focuses on commercial performance, subcontract negotiations, and programme management to support the project from outset to completion.

Responsibilities include issuing commercial notices, preparing compensation-event quotations, client payment applications, and maintaining site records.

Qualifications

• Understanding NEC contracts and experience on large schemes or multiple projects is desirable.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Professional membership such as MCIOB or MRICS is desirable rather than essential.

Responsibilities

• Issue commercial notices and prepare compensation-event quotations.
• Manage client payment applications and maintain supporting site records.
• Produce monthly financial reports; perform cost-value reconciliation and expenditure tracking.
