Overview

We require a Commercial Manager for an upcoming flood alleviation project within our civil engineering business, Sisk Infrastructure.

The Commercial Manager will take overall responsibility, in conjunction with the DiC/AM, managing with limited direct involvement to ensure successful project delivery, maintain relationships, and maximize commercial returns.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the customer, representatives, and other third parties on commercial issues, including negotiating additional payments.
  • Manage project costs and value, ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are in place.
  • Identify and negotiate acceptable terms and conditions with clients and employers.
  • Have detailed knowledge of the project cost management system and guide others accordingly.
  • Develop innovative systems to control and monitor direct works costs and financial performance.
  • Manage complex Project Cost Reporting systems, interrogate data, and identify trends.
  • Propose actions in response to changing client and stakeholder needs and expectations.
Experience
  • Ability to devise, manage, and monitor complex project cost reporting systems, with data interrogation skills.
  • Experience facilitating risk management reviews, identifying, classifying, and proposing solutions for project and business risks.
  • Strong negotiation skills to lead teams and secure favorable commercial results.
  • Experience managing disputes through various resolution processes, with knowledge of legal techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership supporting a safety and health-focused culture aligned with Sisk HSE vision.
Qualifications
  • Relevant third-level qualification.
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial civil engineering management and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience with bonds, warranties, and insurances.
  • Financial management expertise.
