Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead contractual and commercial queries on a high-profile public sector hard FM contract in London.

You will own the contract P&L, oversee variations and payments, and drive revenue and margin while coordinating with internal and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Accounting/Finance is preferred.
• Adequate Microsoft Excel competency including pivots, trackers, tables, functions.
• Experience negotiating contract variations and driving commercial issues.

Responsibilities

• Commercial & Financial Performance: lead on the contract's financials and revenue/margin.
• Commercial lead on a high-profile Hard FM Contract.
• Understand and apply contract terms; price variations to maximise revenue and margin.
• Accountable for contract P&L performance and payments process.
• Manage risks, communicate obligations, and resolve contractual issues with stakeholders.

About The Role

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours) Role Overview: The Commercial Manager will report to the Regional Commercial Manager with an objective of being the lead for all contractual and commercial queries, on a high-profile public sector Facilities Management contract. This role will play a pivotal part in the day-to-day running and overall success of the Contract. The successful candidate will preferably have experience working within Facilities Management as a Commercial Manager. This is also an excellent opportunity for experienced Assistant Commercial Managers (or similar) - which have at least 3+ years experience within said position. Experience:Relevant experience of commercially leading a high-profile / public sector Facilities Management contract (desirable)Experience of negotiating contract variations to successful close out. Highly capable of communicating with a multitude of stakeholders internally and external (both verbally and written)

Qualifications:Bachelors degree/equivalent in either Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Accounting/Finance Finance/Accounting (CIMA, ACCA) is preferred, or Quantity Surveying (RICS) (or studying towards)Adequate Microsoft Excel competency - pivots, trackers, tables, functions, calculations.Main Duties & Responsibilities:Commercial & Financial PerformanceCommercial lead on a high-profile Hard FM Contract.Have a full understanding of the Contract terms, ensuring all variations are captured and priced in to maximise both revenue and margin. Overall responsibility for all application for payments. Accountable for inclusive repair threshold spend. To ensure all IRT based deductions align with the terms of the Contract.Commercially driving a self-delivery operating model by foregoing the use of subcontractors where possible.Accountable for contract P&L performanceCustomerBe able to understand and communicate certain obligations of the Contract. Justify viewpoints via contractual
clauses when necessary. Drive the resolution of contractual issues and disputes. Accountable for Contract negotiations with client counterpart and other parties as required. Ensure the timely provision of client commercial reports.Risk Management Assess, record and advise on risks and opportunities that may influence financial performance. Recognise situations in which an Early Warning Notice may be required. Generate and submit all EWN's. Management of the Contract Commercial Risk Register.
