Job summary

Sheridan Maine is recruiting a Commercial Management Accountant for an established business. You will produce monthly management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide actionable financial insight to help drive decisions across operational teams.

You will own key balance sheet reconciliations, deliver regular financial and operational performance reports, and contribute to improvements in reporting processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Management Accountant or Commercial Accountant role.
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
• Strong month-end and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ability to translate financial data into meaningful commercial insight.
• Experience in manufacturing or engineering is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with accurate month-end reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning with variance analysis.
• Own key balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with operational/commercial teams to provide financial insight.
• Produce regular financial and operational performance reports.
• Contribute to improvements in financial reporting, processes and controls.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and business projects.
