Job summary

Sheridan Maine (Midlands) is partnering with a well-established business to appoint a Commercial Finance Analyst on a three-month contract. This role focuses on turning financial and operational data into meaningful insights to support strategic decisions and sustainable growth.

You will analyze trading and financial performance, support forecasting and budgeting, and deliver management information to senior stakeholders while collaborating with non-finance teams to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Commercially aware finance professional with data-driven decision-making.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience in analytical, commercial finance or business partnering environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration with non-finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful analysis of trading and financial performance across the organisation.
• Support forecasting, planning and budgeting activities.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve business performance.
• Produce management information and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate financial impact of commercial initiatives and strategic projects.
• Work with non-finance teams to improve understanding of financial performance.
