Job summary

Brown & Brown UK in Poole seeks an experienced Commercial Account Handler (Broking Support) to join a welcoming team. You will provide technical, customer relationship and administrative support to an Account Executive and the wider team, handling commercial risks across industries and supporting renewals.

This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Broker/Account Handler with strong customer service, negotiation skills and market awareness.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as an Account Handler or broker.
• Strong customer service, negotiation and market awareness.
• Experience with commercial insurance across cross class.
• Familiarity with Acturis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Account Executives to achieve New Business and Renewal targets through proactive administration.
• Manage AE prospect pipeline and profile prospects using telephone, media and public data.
• Research prospects (Credit Safe, Google, websites) and prepare documentation.
• Obtain quotations for up-sales before new business visits (e.g., Excess PL, D&O, Excess PI).
• Arrange renewal appointments with AE and accompany them to client meetings.
• Prepare Renewal Review reports and obtain current claims experience.
• Prepare comprehensive submissions for New Business or Renewals.
• Handle client inquiries and liaise with insurers and third parties in a professional manner.
• Maintain a diary, chase documentation, and manage renewal terms.
