Job summary

Brown & Brown UK in Penzance is seeking a Commercial Insurance Account Executive to join a progressive team. The role focuses on selling and renewing commercial insurance contracts, managing an existing book while pursuing new business opportunities to grow the client base.

Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years in general insurance, strong customer service and negotiation skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years general insurance experience (broking or underwriting).
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle new and existing business insurance enquiries proactively.
• Administer client insurance requirements including renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business enquiries; obtain quotations and process accounting procedures.
• Assess client needs and advise on suitable insurances to meet demands.
• Produce high-quality broking submission reports and present broked risks to insurers.
• Maintain client documentation and liaison with insurers and third parties.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and help achieve company objectives.
• Adhere to FCA regulations and requirements.
