• Considerable experience in Commercial Lines underwriting and broker trading with a proven ability to deliver P&L outcomes
• Proven people leader with supervisory experience and ability to build high‑performing teams
• Advanced leadership and people management skills, capable of driving performance
• Solid understanding of processes and applying judgement within policies
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with stakeholders
• Problem-solving and decision-making within defined parameters
• Digital fluency and ability to use planning/monitoring tools
• Professional certifications may be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing broker strategies and business plans to drive growth and portfolio performance across assigned broker panels
• Leading broker engagement to build market relationships and deliver a compelling broker proposition
• Driving team engagement, capability development and performance management
• Ensuring compliance with policies, standards and regulatory requirements
• Resolving complex trading and underwriting issues and escalating strategic matters
• Influencing stakeholders through data-driven decision making and commercial insight
• Maintaining a consistent operating rhythm across Regions and sharing insights with other Commercial Managers
• Contributing to the Commercial Manager community of practice and promoting best practice
