Job summary

JSS is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager in London to lead budgeting, forecasting and board reporting across a fast-paced consumer multi-channel business.

You'll own performance analytics, partner with Commercial, Operations, E‑commerce and Marketing, and drive business performance through analytical insight and robust FP&A processes.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Proven FP&A and commercial finance experience in consumer or multi-channel business.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range plans.
• Consolidate budgets, forecasts and actuals across business areas.
• Provide weekly/monthly reporting on revenue, gross margin and costs.
• Prepare monthly business review packs for senior leadership and investors.
• Deliver financial insight to drive decision-making and risk assessment.
• Run scenario modelling and business cases for strategic investments.
• Analyse sales, pricing and channel performance to identify value.
• Partner with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, E-commerce and Marketing.
• Improve FP&A processes and dashboards for better visibility.

Job description

Partnering with a high-growth Consumer brand who are looking to bring in a Commercial Finance Manager to lead financial planning, performance reporting and business partnering across a fast-paced, multi-channel consumer business.

This role provides insight to support decision-making across key commercial and operational areas. You will take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, board reporting and financial analysis, while helping drive business performance through a strong understanding of operational and commercial drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts and long-range planning processes.
• Own the consolidation and review of budgets, forecasts and actual performance across multiple business areas.
• Deliver accurate and insightful weekly and monthly reporting on revenue, gross margin, operating costs and profitability.
• Own the preparation and presentation of monthly business review packs for senior leadership and investors.
• Provide clear analysis of financial performance, highlighting key risks, opportunities and actions.
• Lead scenario modelling, investment appraisals and business cases to support strategic decision-making.
• Analyse sales, pricing, product mix, channel performance and margin trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a key finance business partner to Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, E-commerce and Marketing teams.
• Challenge assumptions and provide financial insight to improve decision quality across the business.
• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting tools and dashboards.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience within FP&A, commercial finance
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and performance analysis.
• Experience analysing revenue, gross margin, operating costs and profitability across multiple products, customers or channels.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including integrated forecasting and scenario planning.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to operational drivers.
• Confident presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear action.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
• Experience within consumer goods, retail, e-commerce or another multi-channel environment.
• Track record of partnering with commercial teams to influence business performance.
• Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial planning platforms.
• Understanding of data analytics tools and large data sets, including SQL or data warehouse environments.
