Job summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking a commercially minded Commercial Finance Manager to join a growing, people-led professional services firm in the South Manchester area. The role focuses on partnering with operational teams to understand performance, improve profitability and provide insight that influences business decisions.

You will support annual planning, budgeting and forecasting, and model potential scenarios for bids while using Power BI to turn large datasets into useful insights and help

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional with FP&A experience.
• Experience in a service-led business with intangible product knowledge.

The organisation is undergoing a period of significant change and investment. Finance is evolving from a primarily reporting-focused function into a proactive commercial partner to the business.

Description

You will work with operational teams to understand performance, improve profitability and provide insight that genuinely influences business decisions.

This will include:

• Partnering with Client Services and senior stakeholders across the business.
• Supporting annual planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Supporting commercial bids and modelling potential scenarios
• Working with Power BI and large datasets to turn information into useful insight
• Supporting the implementation and improvement of key business systems

Profile

A successful Commercial Finance Manager should have:

• Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or an exceptionally strong QBE candidate, with solid Finance Business Partnering experience)
• Experience in a FBP or commercial finance manager role (or FP & A with wider business engagement)
• You’ll have experience working for a service led-business, with awareness of an intangible product.
• You’ll need to be curious, bright, engaging and credible, with the confidence to challenge while remaining collaborative.

Job Offer

• Annual salary up to 70k
• Hybrid working (2 days per week in South Manchester based office)
• 25 days holiday plus bank holiday and full closure over Christmas and New Year
