Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is assisting a PE-backed professional services group in Manchester to appoint a Finance Business Partner. The role partners with senior leaders to translate numbers into commercial actions, supporting pricing, budgeting and strategic planning.

The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA background, prior experience with senior stakeholders, and a track record in professional services or a service-led environment.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified at Manager level or above
• ACCA/CIMA qualifications in industry acceptable
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, managing engagements, budgets and performance

Responsibilities

• Provide profitability and P&L insights across revenue streams

Exciting Finance Business Partner opportunity with a high-profile, PE-backed professional services business, partnering with senior Partners and divisional leadership across revenue division.

This is a business where Finance has a genuine seat at the table. You won't simply be reporting the numbers - you'll be using them to influence decisions, challenge senior stakeholders and drive commercial performance.

Description

You’ll act as a true commercial partner, providing insight across:

• Profitability and P&L performance
• Pricing and commercial decision-making
• Budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
• Margin improvement and identifying underperforming clients
• Supporting senior stakeholders with commercial insight

The wider finance team is structured to give FBPs the opportunity to focus on commercial partnering rather than getting buried in manual reporting. You’ll have access to dedicated support across reporting, pricing and finance operations.

Ultimately, you’ll become the finance voice for your areas - understanding the numbers, challenging performance and helping senior stakeholders make better decisions.

Profile

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical foundations with genuine commercial confidence.

You could be coming from:

• ACA qualified coming from Big 4 / Top 10 Audit at Manager level
• ACA qualified coming from a Corporate Finance / Transaction Services background at Manager level
• ACCA/CIMA qualified in industry with a strong commercial Finance Business Partner background
• Professional services experience or a service led environment

You must be able to demonstrate experience of working with senior stakeholders, managing engagements, budgets and financial performance and working with high volumes of data

Most importantly, you’ll be polished, credible and commercially minded.
