Job summary

Accountable Recruitment are partnering with a fast-growing manufacturing business on the Wirral to recruit an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join the leadership team.

Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with Sales, Commercial and Operations to drive performance, build robust forecasting, analyse variances and develop financial models for strategic decisions.

This role offers strong progression in a PE-backed environment with a competitive package and enhanced benefits.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in commercial finance or finance business partnering.
• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Manufacturing/FMCG sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance business partner to Commercial, Sales and Operational teams.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
• Prepare insightful variance analysis and reporting on key financial and operational metrics.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business cases, investment decisions and scenario planning.
• Monitor and analyse KPIs, providing actionable recommendations to drive performance.
• Drive margin improvement initiatives and cost optimisation projects across the business.
• Challenge and influence key stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
• Support strategic projects and business improvement initiatives as the company continues its growth journey.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial controls across the organisation.

Based on the Wirral you will play a pivotal role in supporting commercial decision-making across the business, partnering closely with Sales, Commercial and Operational stakeholders.

Ideal Experience

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualified experience.
• Previous experience within a commercial finance or finance business partnering role.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to drive change and business improvement initiatives.
• Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience gained within manufacturing, FMCG or a related commercial environment would be advantageous.
