Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity to lead the commercial function for a rapidly growing events company across a range of leading international exhibitions!

THE COMPANY

This leading international B2B exhibition and conference organiser is a specialist in high tech, high growth industries. Founded in , they successfully launched a range of brand-new exhibition events covering diverse industries including battery technology, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and advanced materials. Their aim is to connect buyers and suppliers whilst continuing to be an essential meeting place for business leaders and innovators from around the world.

THE ROLE

They are now looking for a Commercial Director to join the team and be responsible for managing and recruiting a growing sales team with new launches planned for /27.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Event Directors and Exhibition Managers, working with the CEO and MD to set top-line event sales targets, KPIs, and ensuring delivery.
  • Mentoring and supporting the sales team to meet weekly sales targets and manage pipelines effectively through the CRM system Salesforce.
  • Supporting sales team in relationship management across the portfolio.
  • Leading and managing recruitment, with the sales team expected to grow by 15% - 20% annually, in collaboration with recruitment partners.
  • Working with the Operations Director to reduce costs and grow bottom-line returns.
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading sales teams across multiple product areas. Experience in international exhibition and sponsorship sales for large-scale events, as well as successful conference sales, would be desirable.
