Job description

Our client is a specialist supplier of bespoke HVAC equipment, with generations of experience in design, manufacturing, and installation.

They are a privately-run company known for their high-quality, top-performance, and value-for-money HVAC solutions.

Their success stems from blending traditional workmanship with the latest advanced components.

They are creating a new role for a Commercial Director to be a key part of their strategic plan to professionalize and grow the business and management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and coordinate proposals and sales functions.
  2. Work closely with the Sales Director to manage key customer relationships, aiming to improve turnover and profitability.
  3. Collaborate with the Sales Director and shareholders to secure new orders.
  4. Develop and implement the commercial strategy, including proposals, sales, and projects.
  5. Manage sales output to meet budget targets.
  6. Lead the business through project challenges and disputes.
  7. Manage change within projects for the best interest of the business.
  8. Oversee Project Management and Engineering resources.
  9. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with positive cash flow.
  10. Coordinate with the Financial Controller to ensure compliance with financial and contractual obligations.
  11. Work with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and communicated.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business Administration.
  • Experience in HVAC or related industries.
  • Proven track record at a similar level.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Results-driven with sound business judgment.
  • Commercially savvy with negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Willingness to travel to oversee locations, customers, and suppliers.
