This is an exceptional opportunity to join Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) and lead the development and delivery of our commercial strategy during one of the most exciting, stretching, periods in our evolution.
You will be joining an exceptional team and be accountable for providing commercial leadership to the Trust - to include high-level commercial advice, raising awareness of and maximising commercial opportunities that support delivery of strategic and tactical business objectives.
Here at GOSH we have an unusually complex range of income sources, across research, education and training, our private patients, commercially and from the NHS. We are also supported, on specific projects, by the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

Contract type to be confirmed prior to interview.
We are seeking an exceptional commercial candidate, capable of providing leadership, vision and direction to a newly formed commercial team, ensuring that they deliver excellent levels of customer service and maximise the commercial opportunities that exist within the organisation and across the wider system.
This is a significant opportunity to build on already strong foundations and to shape a successful commercial offering that will further enhance GOSH's ability to deliver on its strategic priorities - namely to support the children we are here to care for, and to deliver improved patient experience and excellent quality care.
GOSH is a unique organisation within the NHS as it serves a national population of children and young people, with the majority of its patients coming from outside of the North Central London area.Historically, most of our NHS funding has come from national specialised commissioning rather than from the local commissioner, alongside significant funding for research, education and training, through private patients and commercial activities, and the support of the GOSH Children's Charity.
GOSH is a global centre of excellence in child healthcare. An acute specialist paediatric hospital with a mission to provide world-class care to children and young people with rare, complex and difficult-to-treat conditions, the hospital has, since its formation in 1852, been dedicated to children's healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.
Our last five years have seen real progress towards important goals for children's health, as well as a tremendous increase in patients seeking treatment with us, in London, nationally, and internationally. We have started work on the building of our new Cancer Centre, which will increase our capacity and enable us to deliver even more excellent patient care, and we have implemented the EPIC Electronic Patient Record, opening up opportunities for improvements in the ways we work and collaborate, and in clinical research, innovation and discovery.
