Job summary

Hastings Direct is recruiting a Commercial Manager to shape and deliver the Third Party and TPPD strategy within Motor Claims. You will drive indemnity savings, optimise claims spend and lead commercial changes across trading levers to create sustainable value.

The role requires strong commercial and data analysis capabilities, with a focus on outcomes, governance and supplier partnerships to enhance customer experience and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims/insurance is highly beneficial or commercial management experience from other regulated industries.
• Ability to understand data and translate it into clear decisions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable with change and disruption, with a track record of driving performance in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Identify data-led opportunities to improve indemnity, customer and operational outcomes.
• Build and lead supplier partnerships to maximise customer experience and financial performance.
• Anticipate and mitigate operational and commercial risks to support business resilience.
• Own the commercial success of a key claims portfolio and deliver cost and performance improvements.
• Challenge the status quo by identifying trading opportunities and influencing stakeholders.
