Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Commercial Executive – Motor Claims to help refine claims inflation analysis and drive commercial trading insights. The role sits in a hybrid environment across Leicester, London or Bexhill and involves collaborating with multiple teams to shape claims performance.

Ideal candidates will have strong data analysis capabilities, experience in claims management, and solid commercial awareness to support P&L drivers.

Qualifications

• Strong analytic skills to consume, shape and interpret claims data for commercial insight.
• Ability to visualise data using tools like Excel/Power BI for stakeholders.
• Experience in customer claims management with pricing practices understanding is advantageous.
• Solid commercial acumen, able to navigate P&L drivers and drive change in a matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Manager to deliver the claims strategy and initiatives.
• Develop insight into inflationary elements of the books of claims and drivers of change.
• Engage with internal/external experts to understand influences on claims performance.
• Create MI with multiple teams and external suppliers, monitor claims performance and trends.
• Keep up with market movements and mitigate impacts on processes or performance.
