Job summary

Hastings Direct is recruiting a Commercial Executive – Motor Claims to support the claims strategy and drive commercial insight. The role focuses on inflation analysis, MI creation, and coordinating with internal teams to improve claims performance.

You will work in a hybrid setup from Leicester, London, or Bexhill, collaborating with the Commercial Manager and other stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement initiatives that offset inflation and enhance profitability.

Qualifications

• Strong analytic skills – interpret Claims data for commercial insight.
• Proficient data visualization using Excel/PowerBI for stakeholders.
• Experience in customer claims management; understanding underwriting pricing.
• Strong commercial acumen; understand P&L mechanics and change delivery in a matrix org.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Manager to deliver the claims strategy and initiatives.
• Develop insights into inflationary elements of claims using data and market insights.
• Engage with internal and external experts to understand influences on claims.
• Create MI and monitor claims performance, spotting trends and changes.
• Stay informed on market movements and mitigate impacts to processes/performance.
• Collaborate with project teams on initiatives affecting the book of claims.
