The People Pod in Lancashire is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Claims Advisor to manage a varied portfolio of commercial claims from notification to resolution.

You will act as the main client contact, liaising with insurers and loss adjusters, and provide practical guidance to secure the right outcomes while contributing to renewals and client servicing. This role offers hybrid working with a £35,000 base plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial insurance claims experience.
• Experience across Motor, Property, BI and Liability classes is useful.
• CII qualifications or willingness to work towards them is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial insurance claims from initial notification to resolution.
• Review policy information and establish the relevant cover, conditions and requirements.
• Notify and present claims to insurers accurately and effectively.
• Keep clients informed throughout the claims process and provide clear, practical advice.
• Liaise with insurers and other stakeholders to progress claims and challenge delays where appropriate.
• Identify potential coverage issues or more complex matters and escalate as required.
• Maintain accurate claims records and move matters forward with diary management.
• Provide claims information and insight to the wider broking team to support client servicing and renewals.

A commercial claims role where your experience matters

We're working with an established and growing independent insurance broker in Lytham St Annes who are looking to add an experienced Claims Advisor to their team.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of claims, working closely with clients and using their commercial insurance knowledge to achieve the right outcomes.

You'll manage a varied portfolio of commercial claims, from initial notification through to resolution, acting as a key point of contact for clients and working closely with insurers, loss adjusters and other professionals.

The role

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing a varied caseload of commercial insurance claims, including Motor, Property, Business Interruption and Liability.
• Reviewing policy information and establishing the relevant cover, conditions and requirements.
• Notifying and presenting claims to insurers accurately and effectively.
• Keeping clients informed throughout the claims process and providing clear, practical advice.
• Liaising with insurers and other stakeholders to progress claims and challenge delays where appropriate.
• Identifying potential coverage issues or more complex matters and escalating these when required.
• Maintaining accurate claims records and keeping matters moving through effective diary management.
• Providing claims information and insight to the wider broking team to support client servicing and renewals.

You'll be joining a business where claims is an important part of the client relationship, rather than simply a back-office function. Your judgement, technical knowledge and ability to build strong relationships will be valued.

About you

We're looking for someone with solid commercial insurance claims experience who is comfortable dealing with a varied caseload.

Experience across areas such as Motor Fleet, Property, Business Interruption, Employers' Liability, Public Liability, Commercial Combined or SME packages would be useful, although you don't need experience across every class.

More importantly, you'll be someone who:

• Has a strong understanding of commercial insurance and claims processes.
• Can interpret policy cover and identify the appropriate next steps.
• Communicates confidently with clients, insurers and other professionals.
• Is organised and capable of managing multiple claims effectively.
• Takes ownership and is proactive in progressing claims.
• Knows when an issue requires further investigation or escalation.

Relevant CII qualifications, or a willingness to work towards them, would be advantageous.
