Job summary

HVAC Total FM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer in Southampton to perform PPM, reactive maintenance, servicing and fault finding across multiple sites. The role offers a permanent position with a strong benefits package, a company van, fuel card, overtime, TOIL and generous holiday entitlement.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial air conditioning maintenance, UK driving licence and F-Gas Cat 1, with opportunities for career

Qualifications

Experience with planned and reactive maintenance of commercial HVAC systems.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on air conditioning equipment.
Ability to work independently across multiple customer sites.

Responsibilities

Carry out PPM on commercial air conditioning systems.
Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults.
Service, repair and maintain air conditioning and HVAC systems.
Complete minor installations and remedial works as required.
Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding.
Submit accurate digital service and maintenance reports.
Identify additional remedial works and advise customers.
Work safely in line with F-Gas and health and safety rules.
Manage workload across multiple sites.
Provide a professional and customer-focused service.

Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer

Salary: Up to £48,000
Location: Southampton
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer to join an established building services and facilities maintenance business.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out PPM, reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs and fault finding across a range of commercial customer sites throughout Southampton and the surrounding area.

The Role

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial air conditioning systems
Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults
Service, repair and maintain air conditioning and HVAC systems
Complete minor installations, replacements and remedial works where required
Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding
Complete accurate digital service and maintenance reports
Identify additional remedial works and communicate recommendations to customers
Work safely in line with F-Gas and Health & Safety requirements
Manage your own workload across multiple commercial sites
Provide a professional and customer-focused service
