Job summary

AXIOM is an award-winning engineering consultancy delivering asset management solutions across energy, pharma, oil & gas, chemical and more. We seek a Commercial Accounts Administrator to support the finance function and lead commercial terms, contracts and documentation across projects, suppliers and customers.

You will assist with monthly management accounts, invoicing, accruals, and year-end prep, using Sage or Xero, while coordinating onboarding and contract reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience with contract principles understanding.
• Studying towards or holding AAT Level 2/3 (or equivalent) or relevant administrative/commercial experience.
• Basic awareness of NEC, JCT, FIDIC contract forms; full training provided.
• Good attention to detail, organisational skills, time management and prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Accounts/Finance Administration: assist with monthly management accounts, process invoices, reconcile supplier statements, maintain accruals and prepayments, prepare year-end docs, use Sage/Xero.
• Contracts & Commercial Administration: onboard new clients/suppliers, review contracts and amendments, prepare contract summaries, maintain contract registers and templates, coordinate documentation.
• Business Development / Tender Support: review commercial terms in bids, assist with pricing, prepare strategic proposals, improve templates and processes.
• Credit / Commercial Risk: monitor customer credit terms and escalations when needed.
