Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support learning across Nursery to KS2 in local Primary Schools in Wales. Immediate start for a long-term temporary placement, working alongside the class teacher to help with daily activities.

You will assist with small group interventions, support pupils’ learning and development, and contribute to a positive classroom environment. Patience, adaptability and good communication within a Welsh curriculum context are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school setting working with children.
• Good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive are looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will be working with pupils across Nursery, Reception, Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, supporting the class teacher with daily activities, delivering small group interventions and providing additional support to pupils who may require extra guidance with their learning and development.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting
• A good understanding of the Curriculum for Wales
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
