Job summary

Honesty Group is hiring a Coffee Shop Assistant to join our welcoming team. You’ll help serve customers, bake and prepare fresh items, and keep the space clean and inviting. Full training is provided, no prior experience is required, and you’ll be part of a people-first business with a strong community focus.

Responsibilities

• Serve coffee, bread, cakes and pastries made by hand.
• Make customers feel at home with a friendly, attentive approach.
• Assist in food prep and ensure food safety and temperatures meet standards.
• Support events, take phone orders and answer enquiries.
• Keep the shop clean and welcoming: tables, floors, toilets, indoor and outdoor areas.
• Handle stock tasks: deliveries, stock rotation and display checks.
• Complete end-of-day tasks: log waste, cash up, lock up.
• Use systems (laptop, Slack, email) to stay in the loop.

This is a 0 HR contract.

What You’ll Do

As part of our team, you’ll help bring our vision to life every day:

• Serve exceptional coffee and freshly baked bread, cakes & pastries (all made by hand!)

• Look after customers chat, laugh, listen, make them feel at home

• Help in food prep, checking temperatures and food safety, following our high standards

• Support events, take phone orders, answer enquires

• Keep things clean and welcoming: tables, floors, toilets, indoor/outdoor areas

• Do stock work: take deliveries, rotate stock, display products, run fridge checks

• Help with end-of-day tasks: log waste, cash up, lock up

• Use our systems (laptop, Slack, email) to stay in the loop
