Job summary

Fulcrum Engineering is seeking skilled welders for temporary contracts around Cambridge and surrounding areas. You will work on pipe TIG and MMA welding, fabricating and installing 2–6 inch pipework to coded specs, with associated installation and maintenance tasks.

The role requires CSCS and IPAF where applicable, with shifts starting 07:00 and potential weekend hours. Competitive hourly rates apply, plus travel and lodge considerations as needed.

Qualifications

• Pipe TIG welders to coded specs on 2–6 inch stainless and carbon pipe.
• HVAC or mechanical engineering techs & fitters also considered for installation & maintenance work.
• Willingness to travel to Cambridge, Haverhill, Stradishall, Bury St Eds area sites.

Responsibilities

• Weld 2–6 inch stainless and carbon pipe to coded specs.
• Move pipe spools, valves and supports to lay down areas.
• Assist with checks and reinstatement fitting work and install new pipework as drawings or site runs.

Covering Cambridge, Haverhill. Stradishall. Bury St Eds area Sites

We are recruiting personnel at all levels and covering similar roles,

Pipe TIG Welders & Pipe MMA Welders Working on welding 2 - 6 inch stainless and carbon pipe to coded specs.

Pipe Fabricators/Fitters and

HVAC or Mechanical Engineers or Techs & Fitters

Working Install & Maintenance Work. Working on the safe removal of Piping, HVAC, Mechanical systems

Moving pipe spools, valves, supports from work place areas to lay down areas.

Then assisting with completing checks and reinstatement fitting work.

Fabrication & installing new modified Pipework to drawings or site run work.

Working on 1/2 - 2 inch screwed & maypress pipework & 2 - 6 inch flanged & welded pipework

Hours = 0700 to 1730 48 to 55 + hours Mon to Fri as required

Also might work 0600 or 0700 to 1330 Sat as required

Term = Temp Contract 6 to 13 + weeks & Contract Temp

Pay Temp Contract Skilled = £28 + per Hr up to 60 Hrs Sat £35 per Hr Sun £38v per Hr

Depending on Skills/Quals Semi Skilled Mates = £19 to £23 + Hr

Travel Pay = Maybe depending on distance from personal address to Site

Lodge Pay = Maybe depending on distance from personal address to Site
