Job summary

Fulcrum Engineering is recruiting for pipe welders, fabricators and mechanical techs for installation and maintenance across the Haverhill, Stradishall and Bury St Eds area. Roles cover TIG and MMA welding on 1/2–2 inch pipework, plus fabrication and on-site fitting to drawings.

Works include removal and reinstatement of piping and HVAC systems, with early starts and possible Saturday shifts. Roles are temporary contracts with 6–13+ weeks duration.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding 1/2 - 2 inch screwed & maypress pipework & 2 - 6 inch flanged & welded pipework.
• Ability to read drawings and install pipework per site run.
• Willingness to work 48–55+ hours and Saturday overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate pipe systems to coded specs.
• Install and maintain piping, HVAC or mechanical systems.
• Move pipe spools, valves and supports between work areas.
• Complete checks and reinstatement fitting work.
• Fabricate and install new pipework per drawings or site run.

We are recruiting personnel at all levels and covering similar roles,

Pipe TIG Welders & Pipe MMA Welders Working on welding 2 - 6 inch stainless and carbon pipe to coded specs.

Pipe Fabricators/Fitters and

HVAC or Mechanical Engineers or Techs & Fitters

Working Install & Maintenance Work. Working on the safe removal of Piping, HVAC, Mechanical systems

Moving pipe spools, valves, supports from work place areas to lay down areas.

Then assisting with completing checks and reinstatement fitting work.

Fabrication & installing new modified Pipework to drawings or site run work.

Working on 1/2 - 2 inch screwed & maypress pipework & 2 - 6 inch flanged & welded pipework

Hours = 0700 to 1730 48 to 55 + hours Mon to Fri as required

Also might work 0600 or 0700 to 1330 Sat as required

Term = Temp Contract 6 to 13 + weeks & Contract Temp

Pay Temp Contract Skilled = £28 + per Hr up to 60 Hrs Sat £35 per Hr Sun £38v per Hr

Depending on Skills/Quals Semi Skilled Mates = £19 to £23 + Hr

Travel Pay = Maybe depending on distance from personal address to Site

Lodge Pay = Maybe depending on distance from personal address to Site
