Mother & 45:33, opening in Belfast, seeks a Cocktail Bar Supervisor to support both venues and bring their distinct concepts to life. You will lead shifts, uphold top cocktail and service standards, and deliver memorable guest experiences across both venues.

The role offers £14.30 per hour plus a discretionary annual bonus up to £500, with extensive training and development opportunities. Join us in creating two vibrant venues in Belfast.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months supervisory experience in a cocktail/bar or premium hospitality environment.
• Strong cocktail knowledge and passion for drinks, ingredients and presentation.
• Confident leading a team during busy service and taking responsibility for a shift.
• People-focused with ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and guests.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting training and development of bar team members.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and high-quality drinks.
• Understanding Belfast nightlife, cocktail and music scene.
• Enthusiastic, hands-on and comfortable in a busy service environment.

Cocktail Bar Supervisor – Mother & 45:33

Opening in Belfast this year, Mother and 45:33 will be two distinctive new cocktail-led venues, each with its own style, atmosphere and offering.

Mother will be an innovative and stylish cocktail bar featuring a roof terrace, dispense bar and regular DJs.

45:33 will be an intimate listening bar with a conceptual cocktail list, a high-fidelity sound system and a curated DJ programme.

While the venues will operate independently, they will work closely together on production.

We are looking for an experienced Cocktail Bar Supervisor to support the management team across both venues and help bring their individual concepts to life.

The role

This is a key supervisory position supporting the successful opening and day-to-day operation of Mother and 45:33.

As Cocktail Bar Supervisor, you will lead by example on shift, support the bar team, maintain excellent cocktail and service standards and help deliver memorable guest experiences across both venues.

The rate of pay for this role is £14.30 per hour plus discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to £500.

What you’ll do:

• Support the management team with the opening and ongoing operation of Mother and 45:33
• Supervise day-to-day bar shifts, helping to ensure smooth service, effective communication and consistently high standards
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and creating an engaging and knowledgeable experience for guests
• Help ensure every cocktail is prepared and presented consistently and in line with agreed specifications and quality standards
• Support the training and development of the bar team, helping build their cocktail, product and service knowledge
• Deliver shift briefings and help ensure the team is prepared, organised and ready for service
• Assist with cash handling, stock control, opening and closing procedures, preparation and completion of required checks
• Respond professionally to customer feedback and resolve or elevate issues where appropriate
• Maintain excellent standards of bar presentation, organisation, cleanliness and product quality
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health and safety, licensing and responsible alcohol service requirements

About you:

• Previous supervisory experience in a cocktail bar, premium bar or similar hospitality environment (at least 12 months)
• Strong cocktail knowledge and a genuine interest in drinks, ingredients and presentation
• Confident leading a team during busy service and comfortable taking responsibility for a shift
• A people person who builds positive working relationships with colleagues and guests
• A strong communicator with good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience supporting the training and development of bar team members
• A passion for exceptional customer experiences and consistently high-quality drinks
• An understanding and appreciation of Belfast’s nightlife, cocktail and music scene
• Enthusiastic, hands‑on and comfortable working in a busy service environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
