Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is assisting a client in the Bredbury area of Stockport to recruit an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) for day shifts on CNC lathes. No programming is required; you will set up and run parts to drawing specifications.

You will work with Fanuc controls, read engineering drawings, perform in-process inspection, and maintain quality while supporting continuous improvement in a modern machining facility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator).
• Experience with Fanuc controls (editing).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competence with inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges).
• High attention to detail and quality standards.

Salary: £41,000 per year

Hours: Days - Monday to Friday

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their machining team at their Bredbury, Stockport facility. This is a day-shift position working primarily on CNC lathes, focusing on setting and operating to produce high-quality machined components. Programming is not required for this role.
