Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions LTD. is seeking an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) for their Bredbury, Stockport facility. The role focuses on setting and operating CNC lathes on a day shift; programming is not required.

You will read engineering drawings, perform in-process inspections, and maintain quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement in a modern machining environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Turner (Setter/Operator).
• Experience with Fanuc controls (editing).
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient with inspection tools such as micrometers and verniers.
• High attention to detail and quality standards.
• Team-focused with a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Producing components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conducting in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment.
• Maintaining machining quality and efficiency standards.
