Job summary

ABS Talent Ltd in Stockport is recruiting a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) for a permanent day-shift role. You will set and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components from engineering drawings, with a focus on tight tolerances.

The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern, early finish at 3:30pm, and overtime paid at time and a half. Experience with Mazak controls is preferred; other controls will be considered.

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Location: Stockport, Cheshire

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £17-£18 a hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (39 hours/week)

The opportunity

ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Stockport. The business designs and manufactures specialist products for the logistics and supply-chain sector, with a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence — and they're looking to add a skilled turner to their team.

This is a permanent, day-shift role with an early finish and a Monday-to-Friday pattern — no weekends as standard.

The role

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines
• Producing precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances

About you
