Job summary

Trident Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator for a well-established precision engineering company in Poole. You will take components from drawing through to completion, programming, setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, producing high-tolerance parts, and performing in-process inspection. The position is permanent, day shift, with overtime opportunities dependent on workload.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC turning background.
• Able to program, set and operate CNC lathes.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Experience with Doosan lathes is desirable.
• Confident reading engineering drawings.
• Understanding of tooling, speeds and feeds.
• Precision or subcontract engineering experience advantageous.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Poole.

The successful candidate will be confident taking components from drawing through to completion, including programming, setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.

The Role

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
• Working with Fanuc controls
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks
• Making programme and tooling adjustments where required
• Working independently to ensure components are produced efficiently and accurately

Experience Required

• Strong CNC turning background
• Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls
• Experience with Doosan CNC lathes highly desirable
• Confident reading engineering drawings
• Good understanding of tooling, speeds and feeds
• Precision or subcontract engineering experience advantageous

Package

• Up to £24.00 per hour depending on experience
