Job summary

Haich Recruitment is partnering with a Greater Manchester precision engineering business to recruit an experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter.

The ideal candidate will independently programme, set and operate Doosan CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, producing precision components from engineering drawings. A background in twin-spindle turning and tough tolerances is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experienced CNC Turner with ability to programme, set and operate independently.
• Strong Doosan lathe experience and Fanuc control experience.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience with twin-spindle/sub-spindle turning is advantageous.
• Good understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds and speeds.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machinery.
• Producing precision machined components to engineering drawings.
• Setting tooling and making machining adjustments as required.
• Checking finished components against specification.
• Working as part of an established precision engineering team.

CNC Turner Programmer / Setter - Doosan / Fanuc

£19.00+ per hour DOE + overtime - higher rate negotiable for the right experience

Haich Recruitment is working with an established precision engineering business in Greater Manchester that is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter.

This is a hands-on machining position requiring someone who can independently programme, set and operate CNC lathes, with particular experience on Doosan machinery using Fanuc controls.

The business is looking for an experienced machinist who can take responsibility for jobs rather than purely operating machines that have already been set.

Key requirements:

• Experienced CNC Turner
• Strong Doosan CNC lathe experience
• Strong Fanuc control experience
• Able to programme, set and operate independently
• Experience with twin-spindle / sub-spindle CNC turning
• Confident working from engineering drawings
• Good understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds and speeds
• Able to carry out dimensional inspection and work to required tolerances
• Previous precision/subcontract engineering experience would be advantageous
