Job summary

You’ll join Holt Engineering’s precision machine shop in Lymington, performing CNC turning and setter duties on Mazak machines. You’ll interpret drawings, use job cards, and ensure components meet tight specifications and quality standards.

The role emphasizes setting and operating CNC lathes, working safely, and contributing to continuous improvements. A strong background in precision engineering and an apprenticeship is desirable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' CNC turning experience.
• Experience with large components.
• 3+ years' experience using Mazak controls.
• Strong CNC setting and operating skills.
• Programming knowledge would be advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of GD&T.
• Experience with different materials and machining applications.
• Work from job cards, set-up sheets and work instructions.

CNC Turner – Setter

Lymington | Days | 39 Hours | £35,000-£38,000

Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking for a new opportunity within a high-precision engineering environment?

We're working with an established Lymington-based manufacturer supplying precision components and assemblies into sectors including aerospace, defence, nuclear, marine, oil & gas and telecommunications.

The role will involve:
