Job summary

Workshop Recruitment invites a skilled CNC Turner to join a growing engineering and subcontract manufacturing team in New Milton. The role focuses on setting, programming and operating CNC turning machinery to produce precision parts in a permanent position.

You will work with 3- and 4-axis CNC lathes, read drawings and use precision measurement tools. Overtime and development opportunities are available for career progression.

Qualifications

• Must have previous CNC Turner experience.
• Experience in setting, operating and programming CNC lathes.
• Able to read engineering drawings and use precision measurement tools.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail required.
• Good problem solving and communication is essential.
• Able to adapt to changing production requirements and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes (3- and 4-axis).
• Turn, bore, thread, form and face materials to spec.
• Use precision measurement equipment for quality checks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
• Handle and protect components and assemblies.
• Identify and resolve machining and production issues.
• Maintain high quality standards and attention to detail.
• Support continual improvement and changing production needs.

Are you a CNC Turner with experience setting, operating and programming CNC machinery? A growing specialist engineering and sub-contract manufacturing business is looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join its team on a permanent basis. You’ll work with a range of components and assemblies, using CNC turning machinery to produce high-quality, precision parts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner looking for a long-term role with opportunities for development and overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes and 3- and 4-axis machinery
• Turn, bore, thread, form and face metal and plastic materials
• Use CNC tooling and precision measurement equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• Handle and protect manufactured components, fabricated parts and assemblies
• Identify and resolve machining and production issues
• Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail
• Support continual improvement and changing production requirements

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Previous experience working as a CNC Turner
• Strong CNC machinery and tooling skills
• Experience using precision measurement equipment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a drive for results and improvement
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
