Job summary

Work Lyf Group Ltd is recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering business based in Staffordshire on a permanent night shift.

Salary £16.00–£18.00 per hour with night shift premium and overtime. Overtime up to 7 hours per week is available; shifts run Monday to Thursday with 18:00–04:30 and related hours.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Ability to set and operate CNC lathes independently.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience using inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Editing offsets and making minor program adjustments.
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Carrying out self-inspection using measuring equipment.
• Maintaining high quality and production standards.

CNC Turner – Night Shift

About the Role

We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Staffordshire. This is a permanent night shift opportunity offering excellent earning potential through shift premiums and overtime.

Salary & Benefits

£16.00 – £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

• Night shift premium paid at 1.33x basic rate
• Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate
• Up to 7 hours overtime available per week
• Stable, long-term employment with a reputable engineering company

Working Hours (Night Shift)

Monday to Thursday:

• Monday to Wednesday: 18:00 – 04:30 (10 hours @ 1.33x) 04:30 – 06:00 (1.5 hours @ 1.5x)
• Thursday: 18:00 – 03:30 (9 hours @ 1.33x) 03:30 – 06:00 (1.5 hours @ 1.5x)

• High attention to detail
• Willingness to work permanent night shifts

Desirable

• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls
• Programming knowledge
• Background in precision engineering environments
