Job summary

Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established engineering company in Staffordshire, supplying precision components to aerospace and automotive sectors. This permanent night shift role offers excellent earning potential and the chance to work on high-quality projects.

You'll program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled lathes, read engineering drawings, perform first-off inspections, and help maintain quality and production efficiency.

• Ability to work independently on night shifts

Location: Staffordshire
Pay Rate: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 39-hour week worked over 4 nights, plus 7 hours overtime available

CNC Turner - Night Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes
• Producing precision-engineered components to exact specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Carrying out first-off inspections and quality checks
• Adjusting machine settings to maintain production efficiency and quality standards
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

Requirements

• Time-served and skilled CNC Turner
• Proven experience programming and setting Fanuc-controlled lathes
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision tolerances
• Ability to work independently on night shifts
• Experience with sliding head lathes would be a distinct advantage

Pay & Benefits

• Basic rate of £17.00 - £18.00 per hour depending on experience
• Night shift premium paid at 1.33x hourly rate
• Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
