Job summary

White Recruitment Construction in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an experienced CNC Turner on the night shift to join a precision engineering team. The role involves setting and operating CNC turning machinery, reading drawings, and ensuring tight tolerances on high-precision components.

Working from engineering specifications, you will change tools, apply offsets and make minor program adjustments, inspect parts with measuring equipment and maintain quality standards. Overtime is available as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC turning machinery.
• Able to read engineering drawings and inspect parts.
• Proficient with measuring equipment and tooling.
• Night shift availability and independent work.
• Experience on Mazak/Doosan/Hardinge advantageous.

Role: CNC Turner Nights

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience

4 shifts per week – overtime on offer

Our client is precision engineering business that is looking to add an experienced CNC Turner Nights to its night shift team.

This is a good opportunity to join a well established manufacturer producing high precision components for a range of demanding industries. The business has invested heavily in modern CNC machinery and technology and has a strong reputation for quality and technical capability.

Responsibilities include:

• Setting and operating CNC turning machinery to produce precision components.
• Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carrying out tool changes, offsets and minor programme adjustments.
• Inspecting components using a range of measuring equipment.
• Maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Working with a variety of materials and component sizes.
• Identifying and resolving basic machining issues to keep production running efficiently.
• Working as part of an experienced and supportive engineering team.

Skills and experience:

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Turning Setter Operator.
• Strong experience setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Confident using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Good understanding of tooling, offsets and machining processes.
• A strong eye for quality and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently on a night shift.

Experience with Mazak, Doosan, Hardinge or similar CNC turning equipment would be advantageous, but applications from experienced CNC Turners with other machine backgrounds will also be considered.
