Job summary

Holt Engineering Ltd in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering manufacturer. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for an operator who takes pride in producing high-quality components and enjoys working in a modern, well-equipped workshop with a committed team culture.

You will set up and operate CNC lathes, read technical drawings, and edit programs for efficient production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Turner with ability to set up and operate CNC lathes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience editing CNC programs and tweaking tooling/offsets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Bournemouth. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a CNC Turner who takes pride in producing high-quality components and enjoys working in modern, well-equipped facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components
• Check parts meet quality standards and maintain tight tolerances
• Edit and tweak CNC programs to optimise production
• Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy and quality
• Assist with routine machine maintenance and keep the shop floor safe
• Work on a double-day shift, alternating between early and late starts

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner, ideally on Fanuc or Siemens controls
• Confidence reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
• Hands-on skills setting tooling, offsets, and making program edits
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
• Multi-axis CNC experience is advantageous but not essential
