• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.

A well-established engineering business in Yeovil is looking to add an experienced CNC Turner to its team. This is a strong opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner working within a precision manufacturing environment, offering excellent hourly rates and the chance to develop within a stable, well-organised workshop.

This CNC Turner role is ideal for someone confident in setting and operating CNC lathes, producing accurate components, and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the machining process.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection checks using measuring equipment
• Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain accuracy and quality standards
• Ensure efficient machine operation to meet production requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner
• Ability to set and operate CNC lathes confidently
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Desirable Experience

• Background in precision engineering environments
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
